I am trying to get on a health kick here, loosely translated I want to lose about 40 pounds, maybe more. I tried out some soy based bratwurst today. The most awful thing I have ever tasted. Ketchup couldn't save this stuff. Why is it that stuff that is supposedly good for you, because it's all organic and stuff tastes like wet cardboard??
I could reccommend the diet book I owe my success too, if you were a woman.
Eating soy won't make you lose weight because if that was the case, I'd be thin right now. I've been a vegetarian for 9 years now and I've gained a lot of weight from that. I'm glad you're taking a step in the right direction by eating healthier foods but try to combine exercise with it to gain the most results. I personally love soy food but some really taste like ass. Morningstar Farms is good and Boca is good for burgers. The rest of the stuff out there tastes like crap usually.
I just wanna get down to my pre military weight...which means dropping somewhere between 40-50 pounds....It's gonna suck...and those things didn't help.
Go with boca burgers definatley the best. try the chick patties they rock. I think morning star farms has more fat in them compared to boca. Also eat smaller meals than usual but eat more often to keep your metabolism in high gear. consider using bread instead of buns for your veggied birgers too I've found that they taste better that way.
this thread reminded me to get out of my chair and exercise. I suggest you do the same.
Jog...fuck all that soy/tofu bullshit. Eat what you want, get off you fat ass and haul it around the block a couple times. No taebo, no yoga, no bowflex, no staionary bikes....jog. Best thing to do period.
Jogging fucks up your knees.
Everything fucks your body up in one way or the other in the long term. Jogging is the best way to loss weight and stay in shape.
