My mom is old school spanish. My dad is old school italian. Ive gotten my ass kicked many a time by either or both parents MANY a time.
My dad and I arent what you call "close", but one of the things we do enjoy doing together is sitting down on the couch, watching one of those talk shows , and laughing hysterically at those bratty bastards as they're crying when they get sent to those bootcamps.
I say show em morgue photos of kids who went down the wrong path. Scare em a bit. A good shot in the ass works wonders at times.(see my old status)
If and when I become a parent, I will do my best to be a good enough parent that it will never get to the point that I end up like those parents on Maury.
But therein lies the rub, WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE FATHERS??? In all the Maury shows I have seen with these kids, not once did I see a father. Can you say trailer park living single moms??
Screw that, what about the teenage moms who are 200% sure that some lowlife wanna-be thug is their baby daddy... even if they had to test six or seven guys before finally reaching that conclusion! :lol:

I was just saying that I can't believe so many people need paternity tests after I watched the 49439 episode today.
Those are the parents that provide the out of control kids, so I guess it's a freaky, downfall of society circle of life.

For myself, getting my ass whooped with an extension cord, xmas lights, and switches, not to mention getting hit with the closest available thing to throw, pretty much ensured that I didnt screw around too much. I didnt get caught at least. My mom was the only parent I had, there were 4 of us, and we all turned out fine. Im sick of the dad not being around being an excuse. Granted, its a factor, but there is no excuse for good parenting. Kick your kids asses young, and you have no trouble when they get older.

*My brother and I stuff books in our pajamas to the sound of my dad storming up the stairs. My dad comes in and starts swinging the belt at us to the sound of a big "Thwap". We began laughing at him. He just walked away.
We were 10 and 12 and that was the last time he hit us for being bad until I was being a complete asshole to him in high school years he chased me down and slammed his fists into my temples nearly knocking me out. Needless to say I deserved it. And I turned out relatively fine.
I am modelling my parenting techniques after my father's and I only hope my kid doesn't grow up to be one of these snotty bitches on Maury or I'll have to show him who's the boss.

Children are disgusting. People that have them should be ashamed. Children fulfill the need for one to have control over another human being. Children give dullards something to talk about where they otherwise wouldn't have anything else to say of interest. Parents parade their filthy little brat(s) around telling people all the cute little things they do. Nobody cares. The ones that pretend to are the ones who have children themselves and they're just waiting for their turn to tell their stories and be the big shot. Makes them feel special. Children are incomplete human beings. They are shells that 9 times out of 10 trun into assholes once they reach adulthood. End rant.
