I'm guessing this is supposedly the sequel to Pitch Black. I never saw that movie, but did a search and saw this was the name of Vin Diesel's character in it.

Was the first movie any good and is it even worthy of a sequel?

You answered your own question by mentioning Vin Diesel was in it. They were making a sequel to XXX before the original came out.

I liked Pitch Black. But Im also one of the few males that think Vin Diesel is a tolerable actor.

I can only stand him for so long. He's only got one character. And it takes a great actor (which he is not) to be able to pull off the same persona for varying characters.
