Espn has confirmed that Jim Fassel is fired as head coach of the New York Giants. He will, however, be finishing out the regular season with 2 games left.

apparantly, he asked to stay on for the remaining games, becuase he doesnt want to leave his team with 2 games remaining.

i dont think he'd tank the last 2 if he ever wants to coach again on another NFL team.

Couldn't he have just copied Dan Reeves' technique? I'm sorry, but if ownership doesn't want him around, he owes them nothing more from the second they announced he was being fired.
