Get in line: LeBron's shoes in stores Saturday

Quote:The hype has spilled from TV talk shows into Web sites, including e-Bay, where 54 of the embargoed $110 pairs are selling and bids approachd $200. In November, when Portland's Niketown offered a limited edition of the shoe, the sneaker sold in 18 minutes, leaving a line of teens still waiting outside.

What's the appeal? \"Obviously, it's LeBron,\" 15-year-old Peter Koehler explained. \"People will buy Jordan even if they don't like the way it looks -- because it's Jordan.\"

Why pay hundreds of dollars for sneakers when you can kill someone and take theirs?

"Don't, Don't, Don't believe the hype."

Black Sheep indeed.
Do they make decent looking sneakers anymore? Sheesh.
I actually thought this was one of the better looking pair of expensive sneakers I've seen in a while. I always thought Jordans were ugly but hey it was the 80s.

The original Jordans, on up to about 93-93 were all ok, WAY too expensive, but not bad looking. After that, they got fugly.
I never pay more than 50 bucks for sneakers. Now I usually get away with $20 shoes whenever i need to buy them.
I'm not impressed. Gimme my Converse Weapons and I am a happy guy.
i had jordans once.
and the reebok pumps.
then my feet got wide and all i could get is new balance.
