I don't proclaim to be either Democrat or Republican, so I'll call it like I see it in regards to either party. If the roles were reversed, I'd be saying the same thing.
That said, these Democrats that are quoted in the link provided are idiots. It just goes to prove they all have an agenda and as soon as it suits them to change stances, they do so without hesitation. Heaven forbid they stick to what they've said and what they believe. Oh no, they can't do that, especially in an election year.

Fuck politicians! They're all liars and they're all phony. It doesn't matter who you put into office as they never do what they promise anyway.

Anything to push the anti president agenda. I'm sure you could find quotes not unlike this against the Dems by the Republicans. They all STINK!!! I have never seen such partisan politics before. It all started, imho, in 92 when Clinton got elected. My theory, the Republicans were like, "How did this pot smoking philandering scumbag end up as President???" and they went after him from day one on anything they could dig up on him or his wife. Is it that the Democrats are arguing now more that the WMDs never existed (which would clearly contradict each and every one of those quotes), or more along the lines of arguing the way in which the U.S. has gone into Iraq (after years of saying that we should go in), only to muck things up with a convoluted plan to oust Saddam and find the weaponry?

And you're absolutely right on the other point; even the most idealistic politician will find out that double-speak, contradiction, waffling and backpedaling work far better on Capitol Hill than simply speaking the truth on a consistent basis. And even when telling the truth, tell only bits and pieces of it and "classify" the rest.

I would be in heaven if a libertarian ever got elected.

Most of what he says is right, but the economy is certainly not a disaster.
