what firewall? I use Zonealarm and I have the hardware firewall built into my Linksys - no speed issues at all for me.
Norton Internet Security. I never ever had a problem with it until this weekend. Now I have to disable it to be able to get anything to load. Although certain sites were fine (Commerce Bank, Bearshare, etc.), most, including the Comcast home page, took several minutes to load.
