The following are some bullet points from FOX News Channels broadcast of tonight's Presidential Address.

You know, when they do that thing on the bottom of your screen and stuff....yeah, those.

Quote:Bush:A New Iraq will need a humane prison system

Bush:UK and Poland are leading multinational division

Bush:Elections will be no later than next January

Bush:We'll demolish Abu Ghrab prison to signify new start

Bush:Iraq will elect permanant new government by end of next year

Bush:Likely to be more violence before and after sovereignty

Bush:Terrorist will not determine the future of Iraq

Bush:I sent troops to Iraq to make Iraqis free, not American

Bush:A free Iraq will always have a friend in the United States

Bush:We've seen killers at Madrid, Bali

Bush:We did not seek this war on terrorism

Bush:We must keep our focus and do our duty

Of course I know that it is for highly selfish reasons that we are trying to stabilize that entire region but really, think about it, the sooner we get them behind the ball, the better off we'll ALL be. The entire planet can take a solid stride in the name of evolution, leading us step closer to acheiving the necessary society needed to ultimately survive as a species for millenia.

And now, of course, we'll always have a legitimate reason to keep our defense budget nice and high. This will assure continued military superiority for at least the near future as the US continues to play of the world's Big Brother, a role that we will be absolved from when the end of civilization arrives, in however manner that falls upon us.

Be assured, we will find Osama before the election and Bush will get re-elected. The new Freedom Tower will be built and all will be right with the world once again. It won't be September 10th but it'll be close enough.

But whatever dude, for now Mr. President, just get my gas prices to be below $2/gallon again, kthxbye.
Those monkeys will never embrace democracy. They need to be kept under strict rule. Fuck em.
monkeys??

whatever happen to "camel jockies" or "dune coons"?

Besides that point, I just want these people to have their own representative government (Jeffersonian Democracy or otherwise) and not have it be a regime that tortures/rapes/torments its own people, etc

So they can get their shit together.

So they can help us stabilize that entire region.

So we can invest in the region and reap the financial gains simultaneously increasing the cash flow to and from that area and improving their way of life. Better schools and hospitals and such.

Yeah capitalism. God Bless America.
It wont work. They dont have the mentality for it. Its like trying to breed fighting out of Pit Bulls, aint gonna happen. They are not evolved enough.
You make me sad when you're so damn pessimistic. Sad
Im not by nature, you know that. Im just saying, as a culture, that entire area is not capable of FULLY interacting with modern society. It is always society that is making concessions to their archaic way of life, because they hold all the cards in a fossil fuel driven world. If and when we moved to alternative fuel sources, they are gonna be assed out asking the rest of the world to take care of them. THEN we will see who makes the concessions.
Bio-Diesel and Alcohol based fuels are renewable fuels. Not that Big Oil is ever going to let those types of fuels "approved" for use to the general public anytime soon.
OH hell no, they have too many deals with too many politicians. We could of been well on the way to alternative RENEWABLE fuels sources that are much better for the environment, but too many back door deals prevent such. Not to mention nations, such as the middle east nations, completely dependant on fossil fuels for their economy.
"Without struggle there can be no progress"

It is true that currently, we are still dependant on fossil fuels and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

However...

I believe that within 30 years, the majority of our vehicles will be far less dependant on fossil fuels and more on alternative energy sources. Thier time will come and they will concede - thats what I'm banking on.

If Iraq (and the rest of the middle east region) is to survive financially in a global market once oil is less relied upon, Iraq better be able to produce more than just oil as means to support itself.

It needs to develop a range of industries whether it be textiles, agricultural products or farm equipment (just no serin gas, ok?); a stable country is needed to acheive this.

This "cleansing" that has begun now will not reap any benefits for at least 10-15 years, at the earliest.

Or so I would think.

Patience is key here.
