I've only seen 2 out of those 5, so I can only comment on those.
He's half right. I loved one, but only liked the other.
I have seen most of them and I only really liked one. Besides, they butchered that Tom Clancy one. The only Clancy book worth seeing as a movie, was Red October.
The only one I've seen is Karate Kid, but that's a great movie, I call shenanigans.
