Well of course the numbers went up.... we're at war, dumb ass... with terrorists... what did you think they'd do? Bake a cake for us?
It's called politics, you say what you have to in order to get support. There will not be an immediate, miraculous change as a result of what we're doing, but maybe in the long run there will be an improvement. The problem is that the Americans have a very short attention span and they want results immediately, but you dont solve so many years of ignored issues, poverty, lack of education and fair government in such a short time. Does that mean we shouldn't try? If a house is on fire, you put it out... otherwise it burns to the ground. So few people understand that and they would choose to leave the world the way it is... that solves nothing and whether or not we like it, we are involved and can't just turn away from what is, in many ways, our responsibility.

The Bush Administration were already discrediting this report when it came out. The link you put up is old news that is trying to be passed along as something was hidden, to ask a Kerry rep for a quote to bash Bush without reason adds no validity to this article or its content. This is what has been regarded as the slant.
Powell had said the report was wrong almost two weeks earlier, its called telling the truth, being honest. He even apologized over it. Can you imagine that?

Again i must stress to you we are at war with Iraq. None of the attacks from Iraq were included in the report.

June 14 was 1 week 2 days ago.
The initial report came out in April.
Powell is the only one who can tell the truth in the whole bush administration.
