Anyone else get a chance to see Denis Leary's new show on FX?

I must say, if not for the existence of Deadwood, this would be the best new show this year. Somehow, he got the perfect mix of humor and drama, considering some of the subject matter (life on the FDNY post-9/11).

I figure JimmyBlueEyes is still off somewhere quietly sobbing at some of the more poignant scenes.

And on a related note, God bless FX-- they're certainly not afraid to shy away from adult programming, in this era of FCC political correctness watchdogging. If only other networks were willing to take risks to put quality fare on, they wouldn't be complaining constantly that HBO and Showtime can "get away with" more than they can.
is this as good as the job? I miss that show a lot

The show basically is "The Job", except now with firefighters, cursing, and nudity.
I missed this due to work, but I really want to catch the repeat. This was one of those shows I was looking forward to when I first saw the previews.
No VCR? No TiVo?

What the hell is going on over in the Moosen household, anyway?
I also forgot it was starting last night. Damn Alzheimer's. :disappointed:
You're in luck...

According to their schedule, the pilot is coming on again Friday at 11:00pm, and Monday at 10:30pm.

No more excuses.
WHEEE!!!!! :bouncy:
I saw it, thought it was excellent and hope it stays around for awhile. With all the support Leary gives to the firefighters i'd like to see him finally have a hit on his hands,
I also saw it, thought it was a excellent first episode. The preview of the season looks very good, I'll be watching it every wednesday night
