How about The Changeling.

I found "Strangeland" to be really scary -- in a disturbing kind of way.

"Ghost Story" (Stephen King/Peter Straub) was good...not gory, but suspenseful.

Scariest movie ever.... This movie gave me nightmares for months and the mere thought still gives me chills and convulsions.
