Whether you are following it or not, the 2004 Olympics from Athens, Greece gets underway this Friday. I'm looking forward to a few sports, but mainly I'm just excited to see the games in high definition this year.
Anyway, of course they had all this time to prepare and with only a few days left they still aren't 100% ready. Great planning on that one. I bet the IOC is glad they gave them the games now.
That and security appears to be a big issue. Many think this is the perfect opportunity for terrorists to strike and strike hard.
Do you think something really bad will happen or will it go off without a hitch?
I think Athens is gonna burn.
I think the hastily made facilities will fall to the ground on their own.
The only tragedy that will befall the Olympics is the sheep and other livestock used to limber up the Greek teams.
