The other day Im listening to the radio when I hear this song on the radio. It sounds really bad.I turn it up and its "Imagine".....only it aint by Lennon. Its by A Perfect Circle....and its goddam awful. Listening to it just pisses me off. In my view I think its kind of a travesty that they took such a great song and ruined it.

So the reason of this thread is : what songs shouldn't be messed with/ covered? What songs go you think should go by untouched?


I remember a few years ago Layne Staley and some other band guys came out with their version of "The Wall". Another peice of shit. Why can't they leave well enough alone and come up with their own shit.

nothing beats DEVO's version of "head like a hole" in the "oh no! why did they do that!" category.

I counldn't agree more about A Perfect Circle's verision of Imagine.
Maynard should pour acid down his throught for thinking he could pull that off.

As far as other untouchables:
Anything by Led Zeppelin or Rush.

rush totally sucks, so no one in their right mind would want to cover anything anyway.
