Well, in case you havent seen it yet, Sammy Sosa got thrown out of a game yesterday when his bat shattered and the umps found cork in the bat. This pretty much tarnishes anything he has done. Even if this is the first time hes ever used a corked bat in a game, people wont believe that. This is a HUGE no-no in baseball, this is almost as bad as taking illegal drugs to enhance your play. He screwed himself pretty badly in this past game.

Well he did say that it was a bat that he only used in batting practice, so who knows. But i mean, wouldnt it have broken in batting practice and never even made it into a game? That and why the fuck would he even need a corked bat? I just dont understand athletes sometimes. But ya know what he said after they thrrew him out?

So as long as 5% of the league doesn't test positive for corked bats, they're going to pretend that it didn't happen?

well theyre still most likely going to suspend him because the integrity of the game could possibly be in some amount of jeoprady. But as you saw last night if you watched the game or viewed highlights of it on the news, most of the fans at Wrigley still love him anyway.

he should be taken to the middle of the stadium and shot, just like in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Or just have his hand chopped off. then he can go back to playing.

that makes sense. Use a lighter bat so when you're at the plate, you're now forced to deal with the added weight of an official, legal bat.

For the record, they x rayed 76 of his bats and they all came back fine. They also say that corked bats actually dont hit as far as regular bats because they are more pliable. Its a rumor that they actually hit farther.

I want to believe him.
