Know pain...Know gain. That is what I would tell myself to get motivated to hit the weights.

Unfortunately, this does not cut it for me any further (for whatever reason...)

thus/then, I have lost motivation.

Now, I KNOW some of you out there do the gym/lifting/working out thing on a healthy regular basis. I need to do this very same thing.


What y'all need to post in this thread are the things you tell yourself to motivate yourself to hit those weights and such...those inner voices - you know what I'm talkin' about.

so...what do YOU do/say to get motivated on a regular basis?
I just keep picturing the Mrs calling me a fat bastard.

I sit on the bowl and just repeat to myself: "If I don't get this out now, it will just hurt me later."
I find that all the hot chicks at the gym helps to get me there. I dont get much done, but it gets me there.
ok..well - what if you work out at home?

also - what if you're not chubby at all but you feel as if your body could use some shaping?...

you know, more definiton about the abs, arms, chest and back areas as well as some aerobic conditioning?

trust me - if I were at all chubby, I would not need any further motivation than that.

Working out at home is ALWAYS hard. I have a weight set and a heavy bag at home, with dust on em, cause I cant get motivated at home to use em. Unless I get pissed off about something.
see? and you wonder why I need the motivation...


I would join a gym but quite frankly, with my schedule of work and school and my band and such - it's not good for me. besides, I don't need to deal with all of those high falootin' machines and such...

but still - I need to develop my upper body a bit - tired of looking just average.

I wanna look STUDLY, damn it. I want to see an eight pack on my abs...without having to flex to show them off...

I have a workout routine that takes about 25-30 minutes a day...

why can't I just DO IT??

somebody - motivate me, damn it!
