anyway, despite the pristine condition of my teeth, the years of soda, wine and coffee has taken the luster off my pearly whites.....

I bought an at home whitening thing,
you brush it on the teeth,
but after using it a couple times, it is NOT feeling good on my lips when I close my mouth, whatever eats through the stains is also eating through my skin....(slightly, but annoyingly so)

so what successes has anyone out there had?

get a fuckin cleaning you cheap bastard.

I do nimrod twice a year,

they don't whiten them though.....

I find that smoking and drinking lots of coffee gives my teeth their purty luster.

and you expect a store-bought, which is known to do less than a regular dentist's cleaning, somehow to do the job????

Get some gold-plating...this way they'll always be shiney.

brightsmile. It costs about $500-600 per session depending on how long you need to be treated. It takes back about 4-5 shades (on this fancy shmancy chart they use) and last about a year if you're diligent. A good friend of mine swore by it. And honestly she does look good.

hey Ken, I'm curious about something. You posted about hating glasses and now brightening your teeth. Not to be fascious (sp?) but, are you having self-esteem issues? You should really love yourself for who and what you are. Forget about what others may think. If they don't like you for who you are or what you look like, they don't deserve to be in your life.

Life is too short to worry about petty things like "does she think I'm cute" or "I need to lose weight". If it's for your own personal gain, go for it but if you're doing to make yourself more "appealing" to others, you may want to re-evaluate who you associate with. It's THEM that have issues, not you.

the "how do I look" aspect had NOTHING to do with not wanting to wear glasses. I posted a laundry list of the many reasons wearing glasses irk me,
I tried contacts which only eliminated some of the problems, and caused others....

and I never thought about the teeth till I saw an old picture, and realized how white they once were....
