So, I'm out in Vegas this week on vacation with my girlfriend, and while strolling through the many attractions the hotel we're staying at has to offer, I walk up on this. A bar that serves pure oxygen to people. 10 minutes for 10 bucks. The tube hooks into a bottle of liquid that gets vaporized into the oxygen. All it is, is one of those vitamin water things. Then the tube runs up into your nose. WHY??? What is the point of this?? Wouldn't it just be easier to drink a bottle of the stuff that they put in the O2??
Approximately 2 years ago I purchased one and started a company. $30,000 later, it's sitting on my front porch due to a choice of a different business opportunity. I can go into a "spiel" for you if you wish to know the benefits, but I'll summarize by pointing out that oxygen is the first thing administered by a paramedic at any emergency scene.

The generators are properly stored in my garage, and at any point I can resume a business charging a dollar a minute with an average income of 3 - 5 hun a day.

It's an untouched yet growing industry. I'm officially only the 3rd person in all of Canada with an oxygen bar.
I'm glad it worked out for you. I just don't see the benefit in it. I guess I am skeptical, kinda like the sucker born every minute thing.
It's Sunday Jimmy and I'm a lazyass, but tomorrow at the least I'll provide you a link detailing the benefits of oxygen for the human body.

50 years ago, the oxygen level on earth was 30%, today, it's 18%, on a good day excluding smog/pollution/general farts. To sit and breathe (my generators pump out 98%, more realistically with tubing, 80something) is astronomically beneficial for your body.

That's all I've got till I dig up some energy!
does it get you high?
An EXCELLENT buzz GIP, and one of the greatest hangover cures ever known.

It's 21%, and this fact is 100% false. Such a drastic change in the oxygen levels on the planet would likely kill off millions of species, ourselves included.

Consider these facts, from this page:

-Oxygen deficient atmosphere. When the oxygen content is below 19.5 percent, it is too low to provide enough oxygen for a working person.

-Oxygen enriched atmosphere. Oxygen content above 23.5 percent causes combustible substances to burn more vigorously than in normal atmosphere. For instance, in an oxygen enriched atmosphere, a person's hair, clothing, and even skin will burn rapidly if ignited.

21% depending on the area FTL. Downtown TO I am likely still high on 18%. And while I may be off on 50 years, this change HAS occured in our atmosphere, I just pulled that number out of my ass.

I haven't been quick with this info in a long time now.
21% is an average over the planet. The fact says right there that 19.5% is too little for a normal working person. So unless you're feeling drastically fatigued all the time, there's no way you have 18% where you live.

I'm not trying to be an ass or whatever, but misinformation really annoys me. It annoys me more when it's an activist saying it.... even though here, it's not. But blatant misinformation should really be corrected, because people take the misinformation and repeat it to others, which makes things worse.

It should also be noted that the fire on the launchpad of the Apollo 1 mission, that killed 3 astronauts, was because they were using pure oxygen in the capsule. NASA stopped using pure oxygen for ground tests after that incident.

Then I only assure you that YOU are misinformed, and I will provide you with details when I find the stamina. My repertoire of information is endless.

And I am not an activist by any means, I'm way too fucking lazy. I was in it for the money and fun, and simply did the research in order to assuage those such as yourself.

Now quit trying to make me think goddamnit, it's Sunday.
