Mom hopped up on pills, son on the H. Such a realistic look at addiction; a lesson in how addiction can infect ANYONE at anytime and with a multitude of things...how one addict views another with hypocritical eyes.
and seeing my beloved Jennifer Connelly looking all sorts of effed up and the private party scene...that was a bit bothersome too.

As soon as I saw the title of the thread, I thought of "Requiem." Great, fucked-up flick.
But, Tenbats' entry made me remember a blast from the past:
"The Stuff" -America becomes addicted to a brand new dessert food called "Stuff" (looks like Fluf). America begins to act strange. Americans begin to explode from the inside out as it turns out that the Stuff is actually a living being from outer space pumped out of a meteor crater by the evil dessert making company looking to take over everyone's body!!!!

And of course, gotta mention "Meet The Feebles." Picture a "Behind The Music" of The Muppets... if the Muppets were all drug addicted, STD-infested, slutty, foul-mouthed, and violent. And the show was rated NC-17. NOT for the kiddies. Peter Jackson (LOTR) brought you this masterpiece.

My thoughts: Jake Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore, schizophrenia, sleep walking, time travel, scary ass bunny, haunting scoundtrack, very original writing. The kind of movie you watch again not only b/c it was good, but b/c you want to look for clues that you may have missed the first time.

I hate you. I've reread the book the movie was taken directly from 3 or 4 times but keep forgetting to get the movie off of eBay. Grr.
