Spider Man 2 - Black Lazerus - 07-07-2004

it's either going to be the second green goblin or the lizard because the have introduced Dr. Conner and that Harry hears voices.

Spider Man 2 - JimmyBlueEyes - 07-07-2004

I'm leaning towards Lizard or Harry the Goblin. They introduced Eddie Brock in the first movie. I think they could do a Venom/Carnage story line in flashbacks. Carnage would be great. I caught the BC cameo(he fuckin rocks) Stan Lee Cameo, and the inside gag about Tobey Maguires back, What killed it for me was the constant removing of the mask, how many friggin people are going to be in on this secret already???

JK Simmons is GOD!!! That man has the character nailed!!!
What really rooooned my fun was this retarded black kid who kept punching his hand and wailing thru most of the movie. Really selfish of the mother to bring him to the movies.

at least he wasn't talking through the movie...or was he?

He was having Tourettes like fits....and punching his hand hard enough that you could hear it. If I could, I would do an impression of him.

ok, don't all flame me at once for asking the following:

Who was Dr. Conner?

Who was JK Simmons?

Please note that as much as I am familiar with The Lizard character, I never really knew of his origins.

and doesn't Spidey need to go into space just to get the whole symboite/black costume/Venom story arc going?

Hobgoblin? (1,2, or 3)
Or do they have the balls to go right into Venom and Carnage?
I've heard it's going to be Harry as the Hobgoblin 1st, then the astronaut MJ was supposed to marry introducing Venom, but I'm not sure if they'll be both in the next movie or spread out over the next 2.

Have Fun

I spent a good couple of hours reading the stories about the characters.

Dr. Connors is the scientist who transforms himself into the Lizard (through a freak, experiment gone awry, of course).

JK Simmons played J. Jonah Jameson, editor of the Daily Bugle. He's also a stand up comedian.

As far as the whole Venom/symbiont costume fiasco, yes it's true that in the comics Spidey got the new threads on the patchwork world the Beyonder made in Secret Wars, but I doubt they'll have that in a movie. The costume (black with a white spider) was actually a living symbiont that went on to join with Eddie Brock, whose hatred for Spider Man equalled that of the symbiont (pissed because Spidey rejected him).

If they have Jameson's astronaut son find the symbiont in space, it would be a convenient rewrite, but in the comis he becomes a werewolf.

Harry will become the second Green Goblin, not Hobgoblin - that I'm pretty sure of.

Just read about this...you're right. I didn't realize there were multiple Green Goblins, so I took the word of the kid I was talking to about it.

Spider Man 2 - JimmyBlueEyes - 07-07-2004

They could do the symbiotic story because of the Jameson astronaut thing or they could refer to it in flashbacks where Spidey explains the Secret Wars. The astronaut thing was the angle they used in the cartoon.
