That's a good point. I suppose my desire is moreso for spirituality than religion.

The one thing that baffles me is that most of the born-again people I've met are the ones who are the most judgemental and least forgiving. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Organized religon is a control device.

Mythology is the primary source of how cultures teach their children values and morals. A kid who fears God is less fucked up than a kid who fears nothing.
