Maybe. But that logic won't hold up when the on-duty guys eventually DO show up. You think they're gonna buy any part of your story when they find out the opposition is two of their "brothers?" And GMann, your choice was right. If you swung, you would probably have subjected Mikey to a beat down, whether he wanted it or not. That's not the best gift to give. You had to think for two. From being on the other side, I'm sure he appreciates you helping him out of it.
Who the hell would plan on being around once the cops got there? Every bar fight I got in, I was in my car by the time the guy hit the floor.

The cop thing I never have to worry about with Mikey cause his brother is a cop in midtown. We pulled that lil trump card many a time with the local authorities.

Excellent point. I was at a bar upstate NY a few years ago, some dude was actually beating down 2 guys after one of them started hitting on the lady with him. Eventually, some dude who wasn't involved at all shanked him in the back. I had a situation where right after I knocked a dude out with a forearm to the jaw, I took a beer bottle to the back of the head which knocked me cold. Luckily, I had 5 friends who had my back... if I didn't, who knows what would have happened. Even if you win, you have a chance to lose terribly. You did the right thing....
