I agree we should have gone and got Saddam. Stop a problem before it becomes a bigger problem. But if you think this “capture“ thing was nothing more than a ploy to give Bush credibility, motivate troops, and justify all the American lives lost to the public. I have seen some of the lies first hand while serving in the air force, so don’t you tell me what to believe.
And I was in the Army, if we're establishing bona fides. Why is it so hard to believe that they just got him clean? I actually think it's more of a reach, more "out there" that it was a setup. Please show me a credible source and I'll believe it. I've seen documentary evidence that we got him. I see NOTHING that the Kurds did (and trust me, they'd have plenty of it).

My disbelief might stem from the fact that every time they thought they bombed him killed him they were proven wrong. The best people to catch a person on the run are his own people. Ask any cop. Show me the proof and documentation that lead to them finding him.
