punch yourself directly in the face if you think Load or Reload is more metal than St. Anger.

'nuff said. Confusedmug:
Yeah, OK then. They all suck, none are metal, the last metal album Metallica put out was AJ4A in 1988. That's approaching 15 years of pussy-assed non-metal.

Quote:if you play guitar...go ahead and try playing some of those riffs and tell me its not metal.
I play guitar about as well as Christopher Reeves plays basketball...but your point is irrelevant. St. Anger is not a metal album - it's pure trash, wanna-be nu-metal, poorly written, and sonically offensive.

Quote:Metal is an attitude not just a tone of distortion. Open up your mind a bit and let that album in. Its HEAVY. bottom line.
HEAVY != good. GWAR is heavy too. GWAR isn't good.

now stop making me defile this thread!

"Saint Anger 'round my neck
Saint Anger 'round my neck
He never gets respect
Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out)
Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out)
He never gets respect
(You flush it out, you flush it out)
Saint Anger 'round my neck
(You flush it out, you flush it out)
He never gets respect

Fuck it all and no regrets
I hit the lights on these dark sets
I need a voice to let myself
To let myself go free
Fuck it all and fuckin' no regrets
I hit the lights on these dark sets
Tie a noose, I hang myself
Saint Anger 'round my neck"

-The words of an out of touch, formerly great band trying in vain to recapture their alienated fan base.

Why do you care what he listens to or what he considers metal?

You're being gay.

Stop.

SO,

lets just agree to disagree, shall we? Smile

I don't think St. Anger is the "greatest metal album ever" but I sure am glad they made that album.

The true fans remain...the rest simply walk away.

Track 6...from 3:11-3:39...an example of "metal"

"Not only do I not know the answer..I don't even know what the question is!!!"

much more than:

"Enter night..exit light...take my hand...off to never never land".

I'm gonna go check out the metal thread I opened up a while back..peep out your tastes...maybe that'll help shed some light as to why you feel the way you do about St. Anger.

Because it makes for more interesting message board conversation than anything else currently being discussed here. Sorry, I don't give a crap about whether or not Ken's a mod or how much hair Suzie has on her snatch. I post about what interests me. Metal interests me.

Yeah, the day I let you tell me how to post, is the day I post no more.

has anyone bought the new Justin Timberlake album yet? I'm curious if it's worth investing in or not.....

Not sure I was here for that, but I know I have a ton of posts on the subject on the old board. Lemme see what I can dig up.
