15 Minutes of Fame - sweet angel - 09-03-2003
So I go to work this morning as usual. About 10:30, I notice a lot of people in the old bank section (now vacant). The building manager comes in and tells us that they're shooting a movie in the bank part of the building.
A little while later, the special effects guy comes in and says that they're short on extras and is anyone interested? So off I go to be an extra.
My "part" consisted of standing in line in front of the guy who was supposed to be casing the bank.
It was kinda cool and boring all at the same time. I know it's really nothing special, but I figure nothing like that will ever happen to me again, so I thought it was cool.
Anyone else have their 15 minutes of fame?

I was in a Sept 11th documentary, I got interviewed by Channel 5 news during a Nor'Easter back in 95, and I had my picture in the local paper a few times when I was a fireman upstate. Oh yeah, and I will probably be on Comedy Central for the Breuer show if it gets picked up.

Don't be so critical, Sweet. I think that having a part in a movie or T.V. show, no matter how small is pretty cool. You'll always be able to go back years from now and say: "Yeah, that's me right there in line in front of that guy."
My goal in life is to have my name in the credits of a movie. In some form or another.
My only "real" 15 minutes was on the O&A show.
You might remember them...they had a radio show out of New York some time ago...
