Fantasy Sports League\'s betting ideas - Ronin - 05-12-2003
With football season coming up, I will be running the fatasy league at my work place.. We usually do the old, everyone bet $20, and the playoff winner gets 50%, highest points gets 25%, highest record gets 25%.
I heard of one but i am not sure about it. For every dollar you put in, it equals 1%. So if you put in $100, it equals 100%. And if you win, that's how much you win. So if you put in $50, you get 50% of the pot. then it goes to the second person. if he put in $100, he gets the rest of the pot. With this one though, there can't be multiple winnings, just the playoff winner.
But are there any ways you guys use?

Well the current baseball league I'm running I did everyone chips in 10 and we make a large 1st place prize (For example if its 12 teams - 120 pot - 100 for first and 20 for 2nd) or something like that.

I'm more of a winner take all guy. I did that for my NCAA tournament pool and my fantasy football league last year. However, the seperate pots for regular season and playoffs is a good idea.
