for about 200 for a ticket, you can shoot down to Orlando for a couple of days.
Theme parks are about $50 a day A cheap hotel will run you about $60 a night. For three days, for 2 people, you're talking $600-700 plus food and booze.

frisco is a great town...lots of stuff to do. airflight is near the time of going to vegas.

(I know, typical, lame joke but I had nuthin' else.) but seriously though... For a 3 day excursion, Montreal may be a cool place to go to as well. Never been but I've been told its an ideal place to hang at for a few days... also - New Orleans. Show up, buy a hand grenade, get ultra shitty. Rinse and repeat over the next 48 hours or so, then, catch your flight back home.

Maybe the answer is that I should take more time off
 But then, if I could do that, I'd rather go back to Club Med for a week and do all sorts of fun stuff.

maybe plan that down line, and just use weekend getaway for just that. road trip or short flight to RI, Vermont, Maine, etc.
