Please explain to me why people love this band. I've never gotten into them. Is it because they were around so briefly? I see kids with their patches all the time, meanwhile these kids were in diapers when they existed. I just want to know.

I got into punk when I was 15- little knowledge of punk myself. First bands I got into were Pennywise & H20.
Operation Ivy grew on me, I knew nothing about them. I liked the music, bought the album and I am a fan.
I do know the band is pre-rancid w/Matt Freeman & Lint (whom we now call Mr. Armstrong) and it was just a cool punk band with cool tunes.
Thats how I see it.

Their music is great, what else is there to know?
I've been listening to punk since i was around 12 and up, maybe even before then. i didn't know the bands but i knew the music. That's the only thing i am actually grateful for in regards to my Brothers, they got me into the music that i listen to now.
And it kinda aggravates me that just because i was in diapers when the were prominant means that i can't dig them now. God only knows how many bands i wouldn't be listening to if that were the case.
