We are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems.</marquee>

I didn't add the dirty dozen cause I don't consider it a pure war film, more like an action flick same goes for the great escape which had an equally awesome cast.

Does "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly" count as a "war" movie. Being that the civil war is the backdrop for the story. I still love the scene where "Blondie" lights the cannon with his lit cigar.

How could you pathetic wastes of human flesh forget one of the best war flicks out there starring "mr. I invented war pictures" himself, Marion Wayne.....
The Green Berets
Also good ones - Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Deer Hunter, Braveheart, and The Patriot!
