If my church felt it necessary to put a few promotional posters around the church to cut down on the need of collection basket donations then go for it. If you go to most churches and grab a little bulletin that they print up and turn it over to the back there is usually a yellow pages display of sorts that include ads for various local business. They don't put them there for free.

i have no problem with ads on other fences around the park, but there is just something wrong with such a boston icon being covered up with an ad.

Maybe they should cover it with a giant scoreboard.

that's different. That scoreboard has been there forever. They still use the same manually operated scoreboard that they had years ago. Try again.

Yeah but what was the point of erecting such a large wall there in the first place?

dunno, maybe so there would be room for landsdowne street. It's nice to have a park that's unique instead of having a park that just steals ideas from other parks *cough*.

Yeah but anything is better than the fucking oversized ashtray/toilet we had down here before.
Would it matter if this thing had ads on it way back in the early days of it's existence? Or can tradition and history start somewhere in the middle?

		Troughs rock!!!
I guess you have a point. At least they had the decensy to make the ads all white so they have an older feel to them. I just don't like the idea of advertising being a tradition.

I was pleased to see that when they expanded Notre Dame stadium that they kept the tradition of troughs regardless of the fact that the exterior of the joint looks nothing like it did 10 years ago. Now if they start putting ads there I'll be pissed.

there is nothing like the thrill that comes along with being at the end of the trough and you get to piss on the piss of the 4 or 5 guys to the left or right of you.
