in some ways im glad the mets lost this series because i'm beginning to think that met ownership thinks they've accomplished something by having a near .500 team that happens to be in contention because they're in the worst division in baseball.
i want the mets to continue losing until the ownership is forced to put a team capable of beating the yankees on the field and not become lulled into some false sense of competitiveness.
met fans who are excited about this team are doing themselves a disservice. you are appeasing an ownership that wants to spend just enough money to take your hard earned money and cares nothing about WINNING.
