I was on the train in the morning, at one of the underground stops (7th avenue- 3 stops before my train gets on the Manhattan Bridge) and they mentioned that there were delays.....and it was annoying....Finally- we approach the bridge- and I'm listening to my cd player so I really couldn't hear the conductor, but all I heard was the word "plane" and I looked to my right & flipped the fuck out. I knew right off the bat that it wasn't an accident. It was at about 8:50am. And I was buggin the fuck out.
I get off the train w/another co-worker, and we walked to work in utter silence...not knowing what to say to each other. Then I get upstairs and I start making my rounds of phone calls- my father telling me to be careful & my idiot mom leaves the house when my dad told her NOT to- so she could go to school and all the meanwhile she gets her wallet stolen.
Anyway- the idiots at my job (this was an old job) were like "there's no trains running in Manhattan, you'd be better off staying here or you can leave." And I grabbed my shit & left. They actually thought I was gonna stay there & work Fucking pricks.
So I met up w/a friend of mine & we wound up walking 6 miles back to Brooklyn & walking over the Manhattan bridge- something I NEVER thought I'd imagine doing...and we met up w/my friend's cousin in Downtown Brooklyn & he drove us home. And all in the while- my friend was about 4-5 months pregnant (it didnt show & she smoked during her pregnancy so it really didnt matter that she walked 6 miles b/c she's a careless twit.)
I finally got home, saw the TV and got enraged with anger- so I wound up taking a shower & hanging out with my neighbors outside staring at what was a beautiful day now turned into an orange smokey sky.
