i took products with ephedra in it and had no ill effects. the effects that it was advertised to produce did not happen either, but that's another story. i find when you follow directions things tend to do what they're supposed to. those who continue to consume caffeine, don't hydrate themselves properly, and take about 4 doses of the stuff a day contrary to everything that is prescribed you won't feel too great.
