Okay, I finally got around to seeing this movie the other day. Gotta say this is definitely an instant classic, no doubt about it.

I have one question though that no one I've asked seems to know the answer to. Why is it that Gandalf, who is a white wizard, never used magic in any of the fights? I know he did once to fend off the dragons, but in every other battle he chose to fight with a sword instead of spells. That just didn't make any sense to me.
Do any of you know why this was?
