People should get ahead on their merits only. You could have a poor black kid from the projects who truly wants to make something of himself. You could have a rich white kid from the suburbs who doesn't give a damn. Why should either of them get ahead due to skin color? Why shouldn't they both be required to work equally hard to make something of themselves? I don't agree with taking the easy way out. If you want something, you have to work for it. You don't appreciate it if it's just handed to you.
