A-Listers lining up for The Da Vinci Code

According to IGNFilmForce, some of the biggest names in town are up for roles in the film adaptation of the runaway best-selling book, “The Da Vinci Code”, by New Hampshire author Dan Brown.

George Clooney, Russell Crowe, Tom Hanks and Hugh Jackman are all in the running to star in the flick, says the site. What’s the bet that with the “A Beautiful Mind” team of Oscar-winning director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer, and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman on board the flick that Crowe gets it? Ronny does seem to have a thing for the ex-Sydney rough-nut.

The flick – which concerns clues embedded in paintings by Leonardo da Vinci that unlock secrets that cut to the core of Christianity – might also feature Kate Beckinsale, who’s been a long-time favourite for the lead female role.
