As much as I love the fact that the Mets FINALLY won the season series, technically it can't be considered a sweep. They did lose two in Yankee Stadium afterall.

technically, it can be considered a sweep because it was a 3 game series at Shea; this wasn't a 6 game series, it was 2 seperate 3 game series; the first one occurred at Stinkee Stadium where the Mets were whooped and then you had another 3 game series, this time at Shea where a sweep did occur.
FOM - shame on you! Relish these days for they are seldomly this good for our beloved Metropolitans.
Lastly, the Mets went 4-2 in these 6 games versus the Stinkees...I'll take it.

Let them Met fans celebrate, it's not like they have anything else to celebrate all season. Congrats Met fans!!! Maybe the team can make up some swanky looking rings to mark the occasion!

Fine, if you break it up in to two separate series', then yes this was a beautiful sweep.
In regards to a full season sweep, oh let's see, kinda like what the Devils did to the Rangers for 3 straight seasons, then no it's not the same.
Still, it was sweet to finally beat the Yankees overall. Too bad we can't do it when it really counts though. :disappointed:
