Not do it in the first place.
I don't know, now it just seems like another random list of bands like every other list that's put out. It still does reflect what I tend to listen to and like in the metal genre, and that's why I posted it. Don't really know exactly what I'd change, probably knock off some of the bands towards the end that don't really "fit" with a metal list and replace them with newer bands and bands I hadn't really known at the time.
And heavily penalize Metallica for releasing St. Anger.

I would probably bring Anthrax up a lot higher in that list, especially since they are like the Godfathers of 80's Metal, along with Slayer and Megadeth, with Testament being the uncle or something.
And hey all you Stryper fans, I think they are out on the road touring.

Yeah, agreed. Out of the Big Four 80's thrash bands, I'd still put them behind the other 3, but 47 is too low.
And I had Judas Priest at 48...wtf was I thinking? They should be top 15 at least, for their late 70's material alone. Stained Class is probably a top 10 all time metal album.
And Soilwork is another awesome band that I left off for whatever reason...

I'm so glad you guys are having a real discussion.
I think I like metal. I don't think I like it enough to participate.
You'd all call me a dumb head.
