Official NY Rangers 2003-2004 Thread
#1
yeah, preseason has started. the beginning of the regular season is right around the corner.

as much as I am fearing/dreading a possible 7th straight year without making the playoffs..I still love my Broadway Blueshirts.

So, I open this thread for all of you who are proud (and brave) enough to still call yourself a Ranger fan.

I WOULD predict that we're making the playoffs but for the last 6 seasons, I've been wrong. Waaay wrong.

So, instead, I shall predict utter futility. A horrific season, amounting to record setting losses...the lowest of the low for the Rangers.

Lindros will score only 2 goals.

Dunham will have a 8.35 GAA by the middle of December.

Sather will kill himself in the locker room after losing a 23rd straight game.

(heres hoping "reverse psychology" works...)

but ultimately - LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!

*fingers crossed for a succesful season, one that has us going into the playoffs and making some noise*

Now, who's with me!?! :backflip:

as do I. losing him for as long as we did last season is what I believe ultimately cost us our playoff berth.

hate to say it,
but it might be another long season.
preseason doesnt count, but it would be nice to win once in a while, and not give up 9 goals.

until they realize you need to be responsible on defense, it aint gonna be pretty.

First of all, the NHL lost $300 million dollars last season, clearly the lack of attendance isn't just our problem. Secondly, why don't you guys do something productive with you NY Yankees-esque payroll and actually make it to the postseason for once.

Oh yea,
P.S. 2 Cups for you in the past 63 years, 3 for us in the past 8.

no, it IS your problem. Its a big problem when the Stanley Cup champs can't sellout a fuckin home game...DURING the playoffs.

No, it's not our problem.........cause if we didn't win the cup there were still plenty of teams out there not selling out their arenas and were cup contenders themselves, the Devils alone are not responsible for $300 million dollars

Face it the Rangers haven't had a good team in a while, and they invest in these old past their prime players(Not much unlike my Mets actually) and it doesn't pan out. Sorry to say but it will be another disappointing season on 7th avenue and 31st Street.
