With a new box set and DVD out, and two more box sets in the works, Motley Crue is looking at a possible reunion for next year. But bassist Nikki Sixx (news) told LAUNCH that fans shouldn't get their hopes up too much, since he doesn't see the band continuing on past that.
"I feel more comfortable calling it a farewell tour, 'cause I don't know, really, if the band should last...you know, 25 years, that's a long time to be in a rock-and-roll band," Nikki Sixx said. "I tried to break the band up at five years, 10 years, 15 years, so, you know, I probably won't get my wish (laughs)."
The four-CD box set Music To Crash Your Car To, Vol. 1 features the group's first four albums, which have been expanded with demos and other bonus material. The second and third volumes of the series should come out next year.
The Greatest Video Hits DVD includes 21 videos and comes in both explicit and edited editions.
Motley Crue is in preproduction for a film version of their autobiography the Dirt.
