The secret is babypowder.
My grandpa worked a farm for many winters and when it was bitterly cold he always dabbed babypowder in his nostrils.

Prevents excessive drying of the mucus membrane.

It was 1 here this morning and is 13 now. I can't imagine how cold it is in Canada. I hate the cold.
