I now present to you all, my vision for the <a href=http://www.now.org/ target=new>N.O.W</a> version of both of those commercials/spots, a version to be sent to all of their chapters/offices:
A simple low budgeted manuever: At the end, I'd simply get rid of the PSA-esque voiceover (you wouldn't get away with it here...); I'd let the scene play out as filmed but instead have the voiceover say:
"Yeah, dat's right bitches. Know your role"
and cut.

in all honesty the diner was full of people, not one person got up to help her. The opportunity was there he smacked her around a few times before he got the coffee. Plus every diner has a bunch of mexican busboys and not one came to her aid. She probably had it coming to her for a long time and everyone was glad to see her get it.
Plus did you see those poor kids all upset, she probably gave them cold food.
