Weight Loss
#11
It sounds to me like you're starving yourself. Six pounds a week is way too much to lose if you're trying to keep it off long term.

That's all good if you are active. The only other thing is you have to watch that you aren't lacking in vitamins as well. I think they have like 1 A Day tablets and stuff that give you all the stuff you need for the day in a tiny pill. That should make up for the fact that you aren't eatng as much for vitamins sake.

A few reasons why it could be bad - First off, Stacker 2 can be bad news for you and your heart. No amount of weight loss is worth damaging your cardiac muscle.

Another thing is instead of eating 3 meals of differing sizes, try 6 meals a day of the same size. so say you're looking to do 1800 calories a day to lose weight. 1800/6=300 calories a meal. It sounds tough, but you get used to it.

Losing weight too quickly, a 6 pounds a week is that, can and will cause the body to "rebound" so to speak for this reason: you're simply not meant to lose that quickly. your body will think something is wrong and work to put the weight back.

I know it's boring, but the only tried and true way to lose is weight and proper, controlled diet.

If it's just been the first week or two it's probably all water weight. Wait and see over the next month or two what happens. It's unlikely that you'll continue to lose weight at that rate.

Well, not to get all Oprah on you here but....

Our society has put unreal demands on women as far as what beauty is or isn't and mercilessly enforces those demands. I see these poor girls literally starving themselves and for what? To conform to some standard?

Point being this: if you love and accept yourself for the way you are, the rest of the world will follow suit. Smile

this is kinda off the subject but i think during the course of a few months i will be losing a lot of weight myself

i have been unloading trucks at work and i eat breakfast (sometimes) and dinner. i have cut back on the snacks, for the most part, but i think i will start to cut back more since i am trying to lose weight.

but with the workout i am getting on the truck, i think that is where most of the weight-loss will be coming from.

i just wanted to share.
