POLITICS. You know, those guys that make descisons on your taxes and freedoms?

Oh I forgot, convicted felons can't vote.

Sorry to rub salt in that wound. When do you come off that national registry anyway?

See, if you could vote you could have written your congressman and had them vote Megan's Law down!

Assmunch, I am an elected board member of my hamlet's United Home Owners Association, talk on a regular basis with my town's supervisor, and will be running for town board in the near future. Do you want to belittle politics with me?

Now say this with me "California if fucked because it is a fucked up place that has been ruled and ruined by a bunch of idologic fucked up hippies who care more about the feelings of any random plant than they do about a human life. I will not concern myself with anything that comes out of California."

those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!</center>

Quote:Sure I'm aware of that. The very bill he vetoed in 2001, and only signed on Sept. 5, well after the recall effort was in motion, and after he was advised that such a bill would gain him support with minority voters who might be swayed to vote against the recall.

You state this as if it's supposed to make me feel better about him? If not, then why bring it up?

He's an opportunist who is more concerned with his own political career than the fate of California.

Wow. Nice guy.

You're so quick to criticize, but did you read my other post where I acknowledge that as the state of California goes, so goes the US to a certian extent? I understnad the impact of what goes on there, I'm just getting sick of the circus.

Is that OK with you hamlet?

I'm not sticking up for Gray Davis, I'm merely here to debunk lies, and when Republicans and Democrats are involved, you know there are countless lies to debunk.

As for being an "opportunist who is more concerned with his own political career than the fate of California," again I will point out the MASSIVE irony in saying such things about the target of yet another Republican coup d'etat.

Not everyone out here is a tree hugging, liberal. I know it comes as a shock, but really....it's true.

Now...because of this wonderful crisis in California, I now get one day off a month...unpaid. A 5% reduction in pay to help with the budget crisis. Lucky me. Life is swell.

Not this summer, surprisingly. They actually got that fiasco worked out.

But, we do have the highest gasoline prices in the country (according to the radio this morning). I paid $2.05 a gallon for the cheapy stuff.

Well, gee, when you take a buckshot at liberals/democrats because of what they are doing in Cali, it makes you sound like an idiot who gets all of his political info from Rush. You take one side and call the other side dicks. Gee, that is great for 5th grade elections. We strive for a higher level of inteligence.

Is this more Conservative Conspiracy talk Hillary?

Come on. They got the legal ammount of signatures. They actually got A LOT more. I will admit that support for this election does seem to be slipping. That's one of the things that annoys me about it. Were they really for it or not?

Not let's not forget they tried to recall Reagan many times too, and they couldn't get the support. They got the support for Davis. That says a lot if you ask me. It's the people exercising their right.

I called no one dicks. I have a different opinion than liberals. I see their big tax-big spending policies as a problem in all areas of the country. Is that 5th grade?

I'l answer for you. No.

And it seems that a large enough group of people also said that they disagreed with Davis too, so the recall started.
