because people are looking for others to talk to or start some sort of thing going, but they don't actually have anything worth making a thread about. then if they do, they get balked at for making a chat thread in the wrong forum or some shit.

Yeah, I hate that balking. Especially when there is a man on 3rd and he winds up being the winning run all because the blind ump didn't see that you actually set before the pitch.
