WOW folks.
I'm so posting this on all the boards i'm on.... but christ- this is so worthy of sharing.
I just got back from the Ministry show.
WHAT A FUCKING NIGHT!
Al and company still have it!! Years later, they're still fucking going off!! There were no synths, they had 2 huge drum kits/2 drummers, like 4 guys on guitar and 2 bassists, and then AL perched over this mantel made of bones. it was UNREAL. they had screen projections of some kick ass, twisted and fucked up images going the entire time throughout the show.
i haven't seen them live since lolla II in 1993, and they blew me away tonite. Played TONS of older shit from 'Psalm 69', 'Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste', some 'Stigmata' action and they played 3, i repeat THREE encores. closing w/ 'Supernaut' and 'Jesus Built My Hotrod'.
WHAT A FUCKING SHOW! i danced my ass off and i'm hurtin' for it now.
but serious, if you're into Ministry in the slightest bit- or used to be, or don't even know or care- GO SEE THEM!! if they're hitting a town nearby, you will not be disappointed.
i am so pumped after that show.
