I know it's late but....

My fingers hurt if I don't crack them every so often, but I don't think that's arthritis. I crack, the pain is gone. My ankles crack everytime I step, my knees crack everytime I bend them. I crack my toes, sternum, shoulders, back, neck, elbows, hips, and both knuckles on each finger. Sad now you just made me go through and crack everything.

Maybe my joint pain is more from a carpal tunnel type of thing since i spend the majority of my time typing on the computer. I dunno I've never bothered my doctor with joint pain so i've never been diagnosed with arthritis or anything. I figured I'd take care of that pesky weight loss problem first. Now that's out of the way maybe I'll ask my doctor about what to do about this joint pain. I'm such a mess.

Quote:Ya, I think any harm from cracking your knuckles is purely a wives tale. Arthritis is hereditary

actually it is also created from calcium deposits, and by cracking those areas, when you shift bone away from bone, it allows calcium to enter in those areas, and that calcium will harden and cause arthritis as well.
