Some one explain black people to me:
#1
Here is something that bothered me this weekend:

Hammer (MC) spent all of his musical earnings employing a large number of his neighborhood residents to the point of going bankrupt, but he is considered a "sell out", a wannabe, because he pawned his personality for advertisement and further "spread the wealth" employment of fellow black personas. The apex being opening Pepsi while receiving a grammy.

Enter 10 years later:
Snoop Dog does a whole fricken half time video for Nokia during the Sugar Bowl with lyrics towards Nokia product, holding the fucking things like Dana Peterson (Wheel of Fortune), but somehow Snoop is still "keeping it real". How is it that Snoop is not a sell out, that he is not a bitch to the man?

Boy the way Glen Miller played,
songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!

And why do they think calling somebody a cracker is insulting?

I like crackers. Especially in my soup.

The only reason people called Hammer a sell out is that he dropped the MC from his name.
Dumb ass cracker god I hate you all. I love how you guys like to nit pick every fucking thing we do as a culture/people but then go and copy it.
But when your actions are called into question, you make excuses/lies to justify everything.

You're talking about a people who spend their paychecks at FUBU instead of feeding their children.

Why try to rationalize?

Word, Goat. I even liked him in that XM commercial, where he falls in from the sky into someone's office.

Snoop simply radiates "coolness" no matter what he does...he's just one of those kinds of people.

*disclaimer* AH NAH NAH! I will not deal with someone taking "those kinds of people" as some kind of racist remark. Cuz nope, it wasn't. That joke is denied. Ok, carry on.
