She just listened to a lot of Dr. Drew.
Well, her sexual addiction is obviously based in low self-esteem. She's denying the tie-in with early traumatic abuse. I'm going with the angle that by putting out easily that she is getting the attention she craves and puts out frequently. She then rationalizes it by saying she is an "addict" because of the victim culture we live in. She is deluding herself by saying that she is doing it purely for pleasure with no emotional feelings, when in fact she ends up hating herself for every asshole she sleeps with. If she is a "true" addict, then she would be doing something that she know is destructive for the small amounts of pleasure, whether it be smoking, sex, or chewing gum. Ergo, back to my original thought that she is having sex with people that she knows she shouldn't or in fashions that she knows she shouldn't, but she rationalizes that she is and attict, when in fact she just craves attention.

Boy the way Glen Miller played,
songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!
