Here's a true story -

An actor had a scheduled audition for a local film being made. The night before the audition, the actor got involved in a bar brawl, and because of his bruised and bloodied face, he decided not to go to the audition. His friends and family, however, urged him to go, and he finally went just to shuut them up. He ended up getting the part due to his face - the director was looking for a tough motherfucker.
